Lizzy Musi, star of “Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings” , has passed away. She was 33 years-old and was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer.
The “Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings” series is a popular drag racing competition that features no-prep racing, where the tracks are not treated with the sticky substances typically used to enhance traction. The 2024 season marks the seventh installment of the series and consists of a 15-race schedule starting from April and running through October.
The series features intense competition among some of the highest ranking drag racers in the country, with events that draw large crowds of fans and significant media coverage.
Her father confirmed the sad news in a Facebook post on June 27.
“Surrounded by her Family, in the comfort of her own home, Lizzy was called to heaven at 11:25pm tonight,” the post began. “Thank you for all the prayers and support throughout her battle. At this time, the family would like to have time to process, grief [sic] and make arrangements in peace. We will give an update as soon as we have information to share.”
Last year, Lizzy shared her cancer diagnosis in an Instagram post:

“Well here it is…. Never thought in a million years I would post a picture like this.I want to share every raw moment with you guys through my journey.2 nights ago I had to shave my head due to extreme hair loss. Kye shaved it for me and it was at the race track. I don’t think I would have had it any other way. Every time I brushed my hair it would just fall out in clumps. I had bald spots and excessive shedding it was just getting to the point where I was ready to take that step.Well here is the new me….some days are tough to look in the mirror but there are days where I feel stronger than ever.”
The racer was diagnosed with triple-negative stage 4 breast cancer in 2023, the cancer has spread to her lymph nodes and liver. Lizzy had been open about her journey, undergoing various treatments in the U.S. and she traveled to Germany to seek a specialized treatment that targeted her liver.
Lizzy was from Mooresville, North Carolina. She became known when she appeared on “Street Outlaws: No Prep Kings” on the Discovery Channel with her dad Pat, who has won numerous Pro Street World Champions.
Lizzy is credited with inspiring female drag racers.
